Man Arrested in Multi-State Murder-for-Hire Plot

Jerry E. Wheeler, 34, was apprehended recently by Brookhaven police on charges connected to a murder-for-hire plot originating in California. The arrest occurred at an apartment complex on Briarwood Road, facilitated by the Murrieta Police Department and North Metro SWAT.
Authorities allege Wheeler is linked to the January 13 killing of Aaron "A.J." Jacob Parr, who was found deceased in a California apartment complex. Parr's death is believed to be part of a premeditated murder-for-hire scheme.
Wheeler is the fourth suspect identified in this case. Two other individuals, Ignacia Perkins and James Petri, were arrested on January 29. Kenneth Maxwell was taken into custody on March 18 in Alabama with FBI assistance.
Wheeler now faces serious charges, including murder and criminal conspiracy. He is currently detained at the DeKalb County Jail, awaiting extradition to California. The investigation remains active, and authorities are seeking public assistance.
