- Social media photo of firearm alerted Pachpaoli police.
- Accomplice who supplied the pistol is currently absconding.

In Nagpur, a 23-year-old man was apprehended by Pachpaoli police on Sunday after he purchased an illegal country-made pistol. The individual confessed that he acquired the firearm to commit suicide, driven by unemployment, personal difficulties, and prior failed attempts. His arrest came shortly after he posted a photograph of himself with the weapon on social media, which quickly drew the attention of law enforcement.
During interrogation, the accused identified his accomplice, Shahrukh Khan, 30, who supplied the pistol for approximately 15,000. The police recovered the firearm, valued at around 10,000, along with a mobile phone. Jafri claimed he abandoned his suicide plan after his father's recent death and attempted to return the pistol, but Shahrukh Khan refused a refund. Consequently, Jafri kept the weapon, leading to the social media post that alerted the authorities. A case has been registered, and while Jafri was arrested, Khan remains at large.
