A dispute over a Pepsi has led to a first-degree stalking accusation for Brian Champagne, 47, in Seymour, Missouri. On Wednesday, January 28, Champagne allegedly attempted to force his way into a woman's bedroom, demanding the soft drink.
Video evidence reportedly shows Champagne demanding the Pepsi and threatening the victim's son with violence. While the victim stated no physical altercation occurred between the men, police identified Champagne as the primary aggressor.
Champagne was uncooperative with officers, questioning their actions before he fled to a garage. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Wright County Jail, where he is held on a $5,000 bond. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2.
