Priyanka, who was living with Ankesh, had been experiencing frequent arguments with him over his controlling behavior. On the night of the crime, a dispute escalated, leading to the alleged murder. Ankesh then contacted Priyanka's father, falsely claiming she had attempted suicide.
The deception unraveled on April 3 when the postmortem report unequivocally stated that Priyanka had been strangled. Following this crucial evidence, police initiated a detailed investigation. Ankesh was apprehended and reportedly confessed to the crime. Investigators have recovered the mobile charger used in the murder.
