A case involving the suspicious death of a young boy in Madurai has been transferred to the Crime Branch-CID (CB-CID). The boy, identified as Tamilselvan, was reported missing on the night of September 6 by his mother, Yogalakshmi. Koodal Pudur police initially registered a missing person report.
Tragically, Tamilselvan's body was found floating in a pond on September 7, prompting a revision of the legal sections applied to the case. The mother's strong suspicions of murder and her appeal for an impartial investigation prompted the authorities to act.
Considering the gravity and sensitive nature of the allegations, the Madurai city police commissioner recommended the transfer of the investigation. Subsequently, the director general of police ordered the CB-CID to take over the case and conduct a thorough inquiry.
