Madhubani: Cops Attacked During Robbery Probe

In Madhubani district, a Dial 112 team faced a violent encounter in Bagwasa village, located under the Benipatti police station. The incident unfolded on Friday when officers responded to a robbery complaint filed by a vegetable vendor, Mukesh Kumar Sah.
According to the complaint, Mohammad Abdullah had allegedly threatened Sah with a knife and robbed him of approximately Rs 65,000. When the police team arrived at Abdullah's residence to verify these claims, he reportedly attacked the personnel with an iron rod.
During the altercation, Constable Mohammad Saddam Ali sustained a serious head injury, while Constable Mohammad Lal was also hurt. One of the police rifles was broken into two pieces amidst the scuffle. Authorities subsequently arrested Abdullah and seized the iron rod from his possession.
The injured policemen are currently undergoing medical treatment at the sub-divisional hospital. An FIR has been lodged by the Dial 112 sub-inspector regarding the incident.
