Summary
- Mackenzie Shirilla's appeal was denied by the Supreme Court of Ohio.
- She is serving 15 years to life for intentionally crashing her car.
- Shirilla's parole eligibility is set for September 2037.

The Supreme Court of Ohio has denied Mackenzie Shirilla's appeal, as confirmed by legal documents obtained by E! News. Shirilla, whose case was the subject of Netflix's true crime documentary 'The Crash,' is currently serving two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life.
These sentences stem from the 2022 incident where Shirilla intentionally crashed her vehicle into a building, resulting in the deaths of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan. She herself sustained severe injuries in the crash. Police investigations concluded the crash was deliberate.
Shirilla's conviction in August 2023 included charges of murder, assault, vehicular homicide, and drug possession. Her legal team's attempts to introduce evidence of a medical condition causing blackouts were unsuccessful across multiple court levels. Shirilla's next opportunity for parole is scheduled for September 2037.
