Love marriage ends in tragedy: Woman found hanging

In Guru Nanak Nagar, Mundian Kalan, a 27-year-old woman named Bhawna was discovered hanging in her residence on Monday night. She had married Rahul Godara approximately 10 months prior in a love marriage. However, her family has come forward with serious allegations, claiming that Bhawna was subjected to dowry harassment and that her husband and in-laws were involved in a conspiracy to end her life.

Bhawna's father reported frequent quarrels after the marriage, attributing them to dowry demands that caused his daughter significant mental stress. The family was initially informed by the father-in-law that Bhawna had suffered a heart attack. Upon arrival, they discovered strangulation marks on her neck, leading them to dismiss the heart attack claim and file a complaint demanding swift action. Bhawna's mother stated that the harassment began shortly after the wedding, and the family had intervened previously.

The investigating officer confirmed that a case has been registered against Rahul Godara and his two brothers, Rohit and Rinku Godara, under sections related to dowry death and criminal conspiracy. While Rahul has been apprehended, his brothers remain at large. Investigations are ongoing to determine the precise cause of death and the sequence of events leading to this tragic incident.
