Outraged Family Sues School District Over Mishandled Deepfake Scandal
15 Nov
Summary
- 13-year-old girl expelled after confronting boy sharing deepfake nude images
- School district claims it investigated but found no evidence of images
- One male student charged for disseminating AI-generated nude images of 8 girls

In a disturbing case of deepfake technology being used to torment young students, a Louisiana family is taking legal action against their daughter's middle school. According to the report, the 13-year-old girl was expelled in August after she confronted a boy allegedly sharing explicit, AI-generated nude images of her and several other female students on a school bus.
The family says the school failed to properly address the issue when the images were first reported earlier that day. However, the Lafourche Parish School District refutes this, stating that administrators and a school resource officer immediately launched an investigation. Despite their efforts, no evidence of the images could be found by the end of the school day.
