Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into gunshots that were reportedly fired early Saturday morning. The incident occurred near the Veterans of Foreign Wars building located on Willow Avenue in Long Branch. This area is currently the focus of a joint inquiry by county and local police.
During their initial sweep of the scene, authorities recovered two shell casings. While one female suspect has been apprehended and charged with a disorderly persons offense, investigators are still actively seeking the person or persons believed to have discharged the firearm. It remains undetermined at this time if any individuals sustained injuries from the gunfire.
