Long Beach Parents Arrested in Toddler's Torture Death

Tragic circumstances led to the arrest of a Long Beach father and stepmother on charges of torture and murder in the death of their 14-month-old daughter. The incident came to light on November 7th when officers were called to a hospital responding to a report of child abuse. Upon arrival, they found the infant unresponsive and bearing visible signs of trauma.

Detectives were later informed that the child’s condition was critical, and she was placed on life support. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries on November 10th. Authorities have identified the parents as Alfredo Munoz, 40, and Kelly Munoz, 34. Both are now facing serious charges including murder, torture, and child abuse resulting in death.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is expected to review the case for filing considerations next week. The Long Beach Police Department is urging anyone with information pertinent to this investigation to come forward.
