London Parents Charged with Infant Son's Murder

In North Finchley, London, a three-month-old baby boy has tragically died, leading to murder charges against his parents. Emergency services were dispatched to a residence on Kingsway on January 30th, responding to a report of an unresponsive infant.
Paramedics provided emergency aid at the scene before transporting the baby, referred to as 'Baby A', to a local hospital with critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, the infant passed away last Tuesday.
The baby's parents, Dounia Chetaouat, aged 32, and Abdelkader Essid, aged 44, were initially apprehended on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They appeared in court on February 2nd and were remanded into custody.
Following the child's death, the charges against the parents were escalated to murder. They are scheduled to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court. Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact the police.
