55-Year Cold Case: Body Search in London Garden

A decades-long search for Muriel McKay, who was kidnapped and murdered 55 years ago, may finally yield results. Mrs. McKay was mistakenly targeted by kidnappers who believed she was the wife of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, demanding a substantial ransom.

The case received renewed attention this year when the daughter of a former tailor at the property shared her father's suspicions. He had reported a 'horrific stench' during the period of the kidnapping and noted that an associate of one of the convicted murderers had access to the premises. This information was reportedly not acted upon by the police at the time.

Now, with the homeowner opposing the scan, a judge is set to decide whether to grant the injunction. The family hopes that a potential discovery will prompt the Metropolitan Police to reopen their investigation into this 55-year-old cold case.
