Two men, Keiton Underwood and Ace Hill, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Ryan Burton, 34. Mr. Burton tragically died in hospital on January 16th, 2025, following an assault six days prior in Spring Rise Park, Kettering. Underwood and Hill pleaded guilty to murder during their trial at Northampton Crown Court.
Underwood received a minimum sentence of 23 years and 29 days, while Hill was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and 33 days. Both will remain on license for the remainder of their lives after their release. Four other defendants, involved in the incident or related crimes, also received sentences for manslaughter and robbery, with one youth receiving a referral order for possession of an offensive weapon.
During the sentencing, Mr. Burton's mother shared a poignant victim impact statement, describing her son's attackers as a "pack of hounds" and expressing her profound grief. The investigation was described as complex by Northamptonshire Police, who emphasized that all individuals involved in the group's actions that night would be held accountable.
