Latur Woman Arrested After Husband's Death Post-Quarrel

A woman was arrested in Maharashtra's Latur district on Thursday following the death of her 49-year-old husband. The deceased, Sikandar Sidram Rathod, was reportedly heavily dependent on alcohol, which frequently led to arguments with his wife, Kamalbai.
On Tuesday evening, an inebriated Sikandar allegedly returned home, sparking another altercation. During the ensuing scuffle, he fell and sustained a significant head injury. He also lost consciousness after being punched in the chest.
Kamalbaitransported Sikandar to the Government Hospital in Latur, where he was pronounced dead. Police have initiated charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the woman, who has been taken into custody. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
