- Sentences range from 18 years to life for the convicted teenagers.

Jesus Ayala, 20, and Jzamir Keys, 18, have received significant prison sentences for their roles in a deadly crime spree in Las Vegas that resulted in the death of retired police chief Andreas Probst. Ayala was sentenced to 20 years to life, while Keys received 18 years to life, as part of plea deals. Both were charged as adults despite being minors at the time of the offense, but Nevada law prevents them from receiving the death penalty.
The fatal incident occurred on August 14, 2023, when the duo, driving a stolen Hyundai Elantra, struck Probst, 64, who was cycling near the curb. Graphic video captured the moments leading up to and following the collision. The crime spree initiated earlier that morning involved the theft of four cars and an attack on another 72-year-old cyclist who survived.
Probst's widow, Crystal, shared the profound devastation caused by her husband's death, stating her world was 'destroyed.' The family supported the plea deal, prioritizing peace. Ayala also faces separate charges for an alleged stabbing incident prior to the fatal attack on Probst.
