Santa Barbara deputies arrested a Los Angeles nursing assistant on January 20th, accusing him of sexually abusing care home patients. Kayode Agbolade Ogunba, a certified nursing assistant, was booked into jail on multiple felony charges, including the sexual abuse of a dependent person and elder abuse. He is currently held on a $100,000 bail.
The investigation began after a Goleta care home reported Ogunba for allegedly assaulting two patients in November. Detectives revealed that Ogunba has faced similar allegations in the Los Angeles area. Authorities believe he may have worked as a certified nursing assistant in Washington and Texas within the last seven years.
Investigators have released Ogunba's booking photo and are appealing to the public for any additional information or potential victims. Those with information can contact Detective F. Arnoldi. Support services are also available for survivors through victim advocates and a confidential hotline.
