Arson Suspect Charged in L.A. Strip Club Fire

Cyrus Farsaad, 48, is facing multiple felony arson charges in Los Angeles. Authorities arrested Farsaad in connection with three alleged incendiary incidents. The charges include one felony count of arson of property and two felony counts of arson of structure.
Farsaad is accused of setting fire to an electrical vault at a warehouse in the Fashion District on March 2, and again on March 8, with the second fire spreading slightly. Additionally, he allegedly set fire to a gentlemen's club in Canoga Park on March 5, causing significant damage. He pleaded not guilty on March 19, with his preliminary hearing set for April 7.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office described Farsaad as a "serial arsonist." If convicted, he could serve up to 14 years and four months in state prison. Farsaad is currently held on $200,000 bond. Officials emphasized the grave threat serial arsonists pose to communities and lives.
