- Allegedly struck and threatened a police officer during arrest.

Kyle Chrisley, 34, was indicted on June 2 by a Rutherford County, Tennessee grand jury. The charges include three counts of assault on law enforcement, three counts of retaliation for past action, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.
The indictment details allegations that Chrisley struck an officer and threatened to kill him in retaliation for his arrest. He also allegedly used force to resist and appeared intoxicated in public. Chrisley was initially arrested in December 2025 on similar charges, with the domestic assault charge dismissed upon indictment.
He was released on $88,500 bond, with his arraignment set for July 23. This follows a history of legal issues, including prior arrests for assault and aggravated assault. Chrisley and his wife had previously sued the county for $1.7 million, alleging wrongful arrest.
Deputies responded to a call from his wife, Ashleigh Nelson, who reported Chrisley was acting belligerent. Upon arrival, officers claim Chrisley became aggressive, charging at them and throwing punches. Three officers reportedly sustained injuries during the altercation.
