A 15-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being shot in the chest in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The incident occurred early Sunday, January 11, in the parking lot of a Lowe's store. Responding officers found the victim receiving CPR, and she was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The name of the victim has not been released.
Authorities have charged a 21-year-old man, Bryan Harbison, who allegedly claimed to have met the teens through Snapchat and supplied alcohol. Harbison faces charges including third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and first-degree wanton endangerment. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
A second 15-year-old girl present at the scene admitted to picking up a handgun from the vehicle, pointing it at the victim, and firing the fatal shot. This teen suspect has been charged with murder. Police emphasized the responsibility of gun owners to secure their firearms, noting that failure to do so is considered negligent and potentially criminal.
