The accused, identified as Baljinder Singh from Punjab's Barnala district, was apprehended for allegedly supplying the recovered narcotic substance. The seizure occurred on January 15 when police intercepted Sukhdev Singh, another resident of Barnala district, near the Gumthala Garhu police post.
