- She was a loving mother to a two-year-old daughter, London.
- An investigation into her death is ongoing; cause is undetermined.

A 23-year-old Knoxville woman, Kenya Burrough, tragically passed away after experiencing a medical emergency in the Old City area. Her mother, Talya Zuo, is remembering Kenya as a "goofy" and loving individual, most importantly as an exceptional mother to her two-year-old daughter, London.
Burrough was reportedly having an asthma attack when officers were flagged down early this morning. She was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The Knoxville Police Department is investigating her death in conjunction with the Medical Examiner's Office, and an autopsy has not yet been completed.
Kenya Burrough was preparing for a new chapter, having been scheduled to start school this month to become a phlebotomist, a path she chose to improve life for her daughter. Her mother hopes Kenya will be remembered for her smile and loving nature, rather than the circumstances of her final moments.
