A young man has been found guilty of murder after bragging about a fatal stabbing. Dino Donaldson, 21, was convicted by a unanimous verdict for killing 21-year-old Anojan Gnaneswaran at Strawberry Hill station on January 8, 2024. The court heard the attack stemmed from a dispute over a £50 drug deal involving MDMA tablets.
Donaldson pushed Gnaneswaran onto the tracks before stabbing him multiple times. Less than an hour later, he was filmed on a bus smiling and laughing. He was later heard on a doorbell camera boasting, "I stabbed him fully. I watched it and I felt it go in him..."
Donaldson was arrested on January 11, 2024, at his west London home. Police discovered over £1,000 worth of crack and heroin in his bedroom. The victim, Anojan Gnaneswaran, was a third-year accounting and finance student and a talented athlete, remembered by his family as a much-loved son and brother.
Investigators described Donaldson as a "remorseless thug" and a "coward" for his actions and his failure to accept responsibility. He has been remanded in custody awaiting sentencing.
