On June 24, 2021, the Haryana STF, in collaboration with the Delhi Police's special cell, had eliminated Vohra after an exchange of fire on the Delhi-Gurgaon-Faridabad route. Vohra, who had a bounty of Rs 3 lakh on his head, was wanted in several high-profile criminal cases, including the triple murder case of Yamunanagar and other targeted killings.

Haryana Police have so far arrested over 10 criminals in the Shantanu murder case, which was registered at the Shahabad-Markanda police station on June 14, 2021, under sections of the BNS and Arms Act.
