Authorities have arrested the third primary individual implicated in the kidnapping of two 21-year-old friends, Rahul and Krishna, who were held for a Rs 5 lakh ransom. The incident, which occurred on December 6, 2025, originated from a conspiracy by one of the accused, 19-year-old Mayank, to recover a Rs 2 lakh debt.
Mayank, along with accomplices Danish and Riyan, who were apprehended earlier, allegedly kidnapped Rahul and Krishna from Greater Noida. The victims were transported to Gurgaon, where a ransom was demanded. Initially, the family was asked for Rs 1 lakh, but this demand quickly escalated to Rs 5 lakh as the situation became more perilous.
The youths managed to escape their captors and were found near the Rampura flyover. They revealed that Mayank had handed them over to Danish and Riyan, who then carried out the kidnapping and ransom demand. A case was registered at the Kherki Daula police station, and further investigations are ongoing.
