A Kentucky couple has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of their neighbor. Shawn Durbin, 39, and Nancy Durbin, 36, are accused of pushing 62-year-old Bobby Pennington from their second-story balcony, a fall of about 12 feet.
The incident reportedly followed an altercation at the Durbins' residence. A bystander alerted authorities after finding Pennington, who was later found to have suffered a broken neck and ribs. While the Durbins initially faced assault charges, these were upgraded to murder after Pennington succumbed to his injuries.
Police stated the suspects deny any involvement in Pennington's death. Pennington was remembered by neighbors and an obituary as a kind and generous man. The Durbins are currently being held on a $500,000 bail, with their first court date set for December 9.
