Joseph Bert Dixon has been found guilty by a jury for a fatal shooting incident that occurred at a Kent gas station in September 2021. He faces convictions for first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and unlawful firearm possession. Prosecutors stated Dixon approached a vehicle at a Circle K and fatally shot Devon Hill, also wounding two other individuals.
Dixon then callously dumped Hill's body in a gutter and fled the scene, later telling witnesses in Bellingham he had blood and brains on his pants. Authorities apprehended Dixon over a week later, but he attempted to evade capture by ramming police and civilian vehicles, with a 4-year-old child in his car. Dixon's criminal history includes 10 prior felony convictions. Sentencing is scheduled for April 17.
