15 Nov
Summary
- Karisma Kapoor's children fighting stepmother over late father's estate
- Daughter flagged unpaid college fees, leading to heated exchange in court
- Siblings accuse stepmother of forging father's will to take control of assets

On November 15th, 2025, the Delhi High Court heard a heated dispute between Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's children and their stepmother, Priya Sachdev Kapur, over the late industrialist Sunjay Kapur's estate. The judge intervened after Karisma's daughter flagged two months of unpaid college fees in the US, leading to a sharp exchange between the lawyers.
The judge sternly warned both sides to avoid melodrama, reminding Priya's counsel to ensure such grievances do not reach the court again. The larger battle is over an interim injunction sought by the siblings to block Priya from dealing with Sunjay's assets. They accuse Priya, Sunjay's third wife, of forging his will to take control of the entire estate.
Priya's lawyer, however, defended the will as genuine, claiming it had been shared on the family WhatsApp group and attested by witnesses. Karisma and Sunjay were married from 2003 to 2016 and share two children. Sunjay later married Priya. The High Court will resume hearing on November 19th and aims to wrap up arguments on the injunction quickly.
