Two individuals, Pardeep Singh and Saveer Khan, both aged 22, have been arrested and charged in connection with multiple extortion-related shootings targeting Kapil Sharma's restaurant in Surrey, Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced the arrests on Friday, concluding an extensive year-long investigation.
The first shooting occurred on October 12, 2025, at a residence, resulting in a woman being injured. Police responded to a second report of shots fired at the restaurant on October 16, 2025. Although the business was closed, two employees inside were unharmed.
The BC Extortion Task Force took over both investigations due to identified linkages. The suspects face charges including reckless discharge of a firearm for both incidents. Authorities emphasized that these charges signal a clear message against extortion-related violence.
