On the night of October 20th, 2025, a four-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped near her home in a village in the Ghatampur Kotwali area of Kanpur. The child was sleeping outside her house with her grandmother when the incident occurred.
According to the girl's grandfather, her parents had gone to visit their in-laws for the Bhai Dooj festival, leaving the child with her grandmother. Around 3 AM on October 21st, the grandfather's younger son found the girl lying unconscious and injured in a toilet built outside the house. He initially thought she had fallen in the bathroom, but the child later said that thieves had taken her away and hurt her.
The family immediately informed the police, who rushed the child to the Ghatampur Community Health Center. ACP Krishnakant Yadav and Inspector Dhananjay Kumar Pandey reached the village to investigate the incident. A case has been registered under the relevant sections, and teams have been formed to swiftly arrest the accused. The child's medical examination is currently underway.
This horrific incident has left the family and the entire village in a state of shock and grief. The authorities are working diligently to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice and to provide the necessary support and care for the young victim.
