KRK Granted Bail: Legal Battle Over Firing Case Continues
30 Jan
Summary
- Kamaal R Khan received Rs 25,000 cash bail on Friday.
- Police are awaiting ballistic reports in the firing case.
- KRK's weapon license may be cancelled by Versova police.

Actor Kamaal R Khan was granted Rs 25,000 cash bail by the Andheri railway court on Friday, in relation to a firing case for which he was arrested last week. He is currently held in Arthur Road Jail and is slated for release on Saturday.
Khan's legal defense contended that his arrest was unlawful, citing the non-service of mandatory notices under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The defense also highlighted the absence of evidence connecting Khan's licensed firearm to the alleged incident, noting the firearm had already been seized.
Further arguments presented questioned the physical possibility of the alleged act due to the distance between residences, and challenged the legal basis for allegations regarding missing cartridges. Meanwhile, Oshiwara police are awaiting a ballistic report, and Versova police have initiated a proposal to cancel Khan's weapon license.
