Sean Erik Gibb, a 32-year-old Kalispell resident, has been sentenced in Flathead County District Court following an incident that began with road rage on U.S. 2. The disagreement led Gibb to follow another driver to Woodland Park, where he allegedly brandished a handgun during a confrontation.
During the subsequent fistfight, Gibb reportedly drew his weapon, but bystanders intervened to de-escalate the situation. Officers were able to identify and locate Gibb using information from a bystander. A search of his residence uncovered a Glock handgun and a homemade suppressor.
Gibb initially faced a felony assault with a weapon charge but pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor assault charge in July 2025. Judge Amy Eddy imposed a suspended six-month jail sentence, giving Gibb credit for time served and ordering him to pay fines and fees.
