A jury has been unable to reach a verdict in the trial of a man accused in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting. Michael Clarke, 36, faced charges of murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The shooting victim, 17-year-old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake, tragically died in Tottenham, north London, in the early hours of April 2, 2018. Clarke denied all charges brought against him during the proceedings at the Old Bailey.
Following the jury's deadlock, Judge Mark Dennis KC officially discharged them. The case will now necessitate a retrial, which will involve a new jury examining the evidence at a significantly later date.
