12 Jul
Summary
- Josh Duggar is now at FCI Elkton in Lisbon, Ohio.
- He was convicted of child pornography charges in December 2021.
- Duggar has been moved between five different federal facilities.

Josh Duggar, who was convicted in December 2021 on charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, has been transferred to FCI Elkton in Lisbon, Ohio. This relocation to FCI Elkton, a low-security federal correctional institution, is the fifth time Duggar has been moved between prisons in the past five years.
He was initially held at the Washington County Detention Center in Arkansas following his arrest. Subsequently, he spent a significant portion of his 12-year sentence at FCI Seagoville, Texas, before a move to FMC Fort Worth. Most recently, he was temporarily housed at FTC Oklahoma City before his transfer to Ohio.
Duggar's legal battles continue as he appeals his conviction. The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit upheld the trial ruling in October 2023, and the Supreme Court declined to review his appeal in June 2024. Despite maintaining his innocence, the conviction and sentence remain in effect.
This case follows earlier public statements made by Duggar in 2015 regarding accusations of molesting underage girls, for which he expressed deep regret. He also publicly apologized in August 2015 for infidelity and pornography addiction revealed in the Ashley Madison leak.
