- Couple met on social media, conspired with a firearm.

In Jhansi, a 40-year-old woman and two men, including her alleged lover, were apprehended for the murder of her husband. The victim, Jaghbhan Kushwaha, a railway vendor, was found deceased near the Jhansi railway station on February 1, having left home for work the previous evening.
Investigation revealed the victim's wife, Kiran, developed a relationship with Shiv Kumar Lodhi through social media. Their affair led to a conspiracy to murder Jaghbhan, with Kiran reportedly funding Shiv to acquire a gun. On January 31, Shiv and another man, Dharmendra Lodhi, intercepted and fatally shot Kushwaha near the railway station.
During questioning, Kiran confessed to her husband's alleged abuse as the catalyst for her affair with Shiv and their joint plan to kill Jaghbhan. Both Kiran and Shiv, who began their relationship six months prior, were arrested along with Dharmendra near the Raksa bypass. It was also revealed that Shiv had a prior murder charge in 2024 for which he was out on bail.
