The incident took place in Dhimarpura village, reportedly after the father, Prem Singh, returned home late and intoxicated from a wedding. A domestic dispute arose when Singh's wife questioned his drinking.
In the middle of the night, Singh reportedly took his three-year-old son, Bharat, into a separate room. Hours later, his wife found the door locked from the inside and, upon investigation, discovered her husband hanging. The child was found dead in a pool of blood. Police were alerted and, upon breaking down the door, confirmed the grim scene.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter, with preliminary indications pointing towards the father having killed his son before taking his own life. Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations to ascertain the exact cause of death and gather further evidence.
