In a startling development, police in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, apprehended seven individuals, including six women, belonging to the 'Bachhada' gang from Madhya Pradesh. They were accused of stealing jewelry from devotees during Rangotsav celebrations at the Mewar Charbhuja temple on Sheetla Saptami festival. The gang's audacious method was revealed when an X-ray during the medical examination of a 32-year-old accused, Sapna, showed a stolen mangalsutra hidden in her private parts. This unique discovery led to the mangalsutra being extracted by female doctors at the district hospital. Police had initiated a thorough investigation after a complaint of theft was filed by Radha Aheer. The special team scanned CCTV footage and intensified patrolling, leading to the interception of a suspicious car carrying the suspects. Along with Sapna, the arrested individuals include the driver Shanu (31) and women Vartika (20), Barji Bai (52), Basanti (60), Maina (28), and Payal (20). A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
