- The gang operated across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
Mandsaur police have cracked a major burglary ring, apprehending two individuals and recovering an estimated Rs 20 lakh in gold and silver jewelry. This operation has brought to light the gang's involvement in at least 18 separate burglary incidents spanning five states: Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
The breakthrough came after a July 17th burglary in Mandsaur, where a house was broken into, and cash and jewelry were stolen. Police efforts, spurred by social media evidence, led to the arrest of Shivram alias Hanuman Bagaria and Kaluram Bagaria, both from Ajmer.
Authorities seized not only the stolen jewelry but also incriminating tools such as crowbars and an electronic cutter. During interrogation, the arrested pair confessed to their extensive criminal activities in various cities across the implicated states.
Further investigations revealed that the gang employed a cunning modus operandi. They would survey residential areas, posing as individuals seeking water or offering repair services to assess homes, routines, and security before executing their thefts.
Records indicate that four members of this gang have a combined total of 27 registered cases against them. Shivram alone faces 16 charges, with other members also having multiple offenses. Police are actively searching for the four absconding members.
