The new positions, including detective constables, a digital forensic investigator, and a telecomms specialist, are intended to boost the capacity within the justice system to handle the current demand. The funding will also be distributed to other departments to help enact new laws offering greater protection to women.
Nearly £500,000 of the allocated funds will be dedicated to staff training focused on addressing existing operational pressures and building essential capacity. The majority of the investment prioritizes direct contact with victims, alongside crucial advancements in training, digital forensics, and technology.
