Jealous Husband Sentenced to Life for Brutal Stabbing Murder of Wife

In a horrific act of domestic violence, a husband in Texas has been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of his wife in June 2023. According to court documents, 47-year-old Brian Alan Jutson Sr. drove for seven hours from his job in west Texas to confront his wife, Sherry Shugart Jutson, after believing she was having an affair.

Upon arriving at their home, Jutson proceeded to stab his wife more than 30 times, with Sherry pleading for her life during the attack. Their daughter was the one who placed the initial 911 call, telling the dispatcher that her father had just called and said, "I think I might have killed her."

Tragically, by the time police arrived, it was too late to save Sherry. She was found in the couple's bedroom with multiple stab wounds. Jutson then showered, changed clothes, and fled the scene before being apprehended with the help of local authorities.

Despite his guilty plea, prosecutors presented evidence during the trial's punishment phase, including testimony about the attack and messages Jutson had sent to his wife prior to the murder. On November 13th, District Judge Kyle Hawthorne sentenced Jutson to life imprisonment for the horrific crime.
