On Friday, October 4th, 2025, a 34-year-old woman named Mamta Jangid died by suicide at her home in Jaipur's Golden Park Colony. According to the Jamdoli police station, Mamta was married to Mukesh Jangid, a carpenter, and the couple had no children.
Neighbors reported that Mamta and Mukesh were frequently involved in arguments. On the day of the incident, around 5 PM, Mamta's family members went to call her for some household work, but found her room locked from the inside. Suspecting the worst, they informed the police.
When the police arrived and forced open the door, they found Mamta hanging from the ceiling, with blood coming from a cut on her left hand. It appears she had first cut a vein and then hanged herself. No suicide note was found at the scene.
Mamta's elder sister was also married into the same household, and both sisters were living together with their respective families. The police have classified this as a clear case of suicide, though the exact reasons behind Mamta's drastic step remain unclear.
