Father Murdered After Daughter's Gang Rape Allegations

In Jaipur, a 58-year-old man was allegedly murdered and his body found hanging near his residence. This incident follows a month after his daughter reported being kidnapped and gang-raped by four individuals in the Kalwar area. The victim's wife has filed a complaint alleging that the accused murdered her husband as part of a conspiracy. She claims they threatened the family, demanding the withdrawal of the rape case against them. The wife further alleges that the accused murdered her husband and then hung his body to make it appear as a suicide. Police, who had initially treated the case as a suicide, have now registered a murder case based on the family's complaint and are investigating the new allegations and developments. The initial complaint of gang rape was registered after the daughter returned home two days after her alleged abduction, leading to the arrest of the accused.

Relatives of the deceased have stated that the family faced constant threats from the accused after the rape case was filed. The accused allegedly threatened to kill the victim if the case was not withdrawn. The body was discovered on July 5, and after a post-mortem, it was handed over to the family.
