- The deceased husband's family wants a DNA test for the newborn.

An undertrial prisoner, Muskan Rastogi, who is currently lodged in Meerut district jail for the murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput, gave birth to a baby girl. The delivery took place at Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College. Muskan has named her newborn daughter Radha.
Prison authorities have confirmed that the infant will stay with her mother in the jail barracks until she turns six years old. The jail will provide all basic facilities, including nutrition and medical care. Special supervised programs and pre-school enrollment are planned for the child as she grows within the facility.
Adding a layer of complexity, the family of the deceased husband, Saurabh Rajput, has expressed their demand for a DNA test to ascertain the baby's paternity. They suspect the child might be from the prisoner's lover, Sahil Shukla. However, no formal request for a DNA test has been submitted to the court yet, as the murder case is currently at the evidence stage.
