Jessica Camilleri, incarcerated for the manslaughter of her mother, has allegedly launched another violent attack within Dillwynia women's prison. The recent incident involved inmate Lien Ai Vuong, whom Camilleri reportedly attacked after becoming fixated on her dark hair. Court proceedings revealed Camilleri's claims that fellow inmates were orchestrating a setup to have her declared mentally unstable and transferred to a hospital.
CCTV footage captured Camilleri sneaking up behind Vuong, who was seated, before violently grabbing her hair. The attack escalated when Vuong retaliated. Camilleri has a history of violent behavior, including multiple assaults on prison officers, for which she is due to be sentenced in May 2025. Vuong is awaiting sentencing for unrelated firearms and drug charges.
