A joint operation by Gurgaon and Mewat crime branches culminated in the arrest of a notorious interstate criminal, Yadram, following a dramatic exchange of fire on the Sohna-Gurgaon road. The 50-year-old fugitive, wanted for numerous serious offenses across Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, was shot in both legs and subsequently hospitalized. Authorities reported that Yadram was intercepted while riding a numberless motorcycle, armed and heading towards Sohna.
Intelligence indicated Yadram was involved in a variety of crimes including attempted murder, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act. A significant reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced for his capture, particularly in connection with a jeweller's shop theft in Nuh. During the apprehension, Yadram allegedly opened fire on the police team, but officers retaliated in self-defense, leading to his injury.
Following the incident, a comprehensive scene investigation was conducted, yielding firearms, ammunition, and spent cartridges. Cases have been registered against Yadram for attacking law enforcement and obstructing government duties. Police stated that further investigation and interrogation will proceed once the accused is discharged from medical care, emphasizing a continued crackdown on criminal elements.
