Russian Influencer Banned for Life From Vietnam Over Risqué Stunts

A Russian national, Yulia Nikitina, has been permanently banned from Vietnam following a series of provocative stunts performed on public roads around Nha Trang. Between January and June 2025, Nikitina, aged 35, engaged in "dangerous and sexually provocative" acts on her sport bike, including lying flat and performing a "scorpion" pose while traffic moved around her.
Her actions, captured and shared on social media, were described by Vietnamese commentators as having a "sexualised nature." Nikitina was seen kneeling on the moving motorcycle, rubbing her body over the fuel tank, and lifting her legs. These displays were deemed disrespectful to local culture and public decency.
Initially warned she could face up to seven years in jail, Nikitina was ultimately deported and given a lifetime ban. She was also fined £860, and her motorcycle and iPhone 16 were confiscated. Nikitina reportedly apologized for flaunting her beauty and acknowledged uploading the material to gain attention.
This incident echoes similar cases in Asia. In 2021, Luiza Kosykh was deported from Bali for posing naked on a sacred tree, and Russian yoga practitioner Alina Fazleeva faced similar consequences in Indonesia for performing naked rituals. Vietnamese authorities have reiterated their commitment to enforcing road safety laws and maintaining a civilised traffic environment.
