Wombat Harasser Faces Wyoming Hunting Charges

An American influencer, previously condemned for harassing a baby wombat in Australia, has been arrested in Wyoming on charges related to hunting law violations. The 25-year-old allegedly misrepresented her residency status to obtain resident hunting tags, a privilege requiring a full year of prior residence in the state.

Officials became aware of the alleged deception after an anonymous tip reported her bragging on social media about obtaining resident tags despite not living in Wyoming for over two years. Investigations revealed the influencer, also known online as Sam Jones, had been employed and residing in Australia, as well as in Montana and North Dakota, for significant periods.
