On September 24, 2025, Indore police arrested four men for allegedly embezzling goods worth Rs 15 lakh from a local transport company. The accused, who were attempting to sell off the stolen consignment, were apprehended by Raoji Bazaar police before they could dispose of the material.
According to the investigation, the key accused, Vishal alias Sonu Tomar, had been working as a driver for the complainant, transporter Manish Yadav. Tomar managed to win his employer's trust and later betrayed it by diverting a consignment meant for traders in Manpur. The stolen goods included grocery items, hardware, and other merchandise.
Based on Yadav's complaint, a case was registered under Section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and a police team was formed to trace and arrest the accused. The four arrested individuals have been identified as Vishal alias Sonu Tomar (32), Sunil Sindhiya (36), Golu alias Sunil Verma (31), and Bittu Gangare (21), all residents of Indore and surrounding districts.
Police have recovered nearly the entire stolen consignment from the Kanadiya area, and legal proceedings are currently underway against the accused.
