Drunk Driver Assaults Police in Indore

In the Kanadia area of Indore, a routine drunk driving operation on Sunday early morning escalated into violence. Police intercepted a car for inspection, finding the driver, Rahul Gehlod, to be intoxicated. Legal action was initiated, and a challan was issued for the offense.
The situation rapidly deteriorated as the car's occupants objected to the police's actions. When officials stated the vehicle would be impounded, the driver and his companions, identified as Subhash Chauhan, Ashish, and Santosh, allegedly became aggressive. They proceeded to assault and verbally abuse the constables, issuing threats.
As a result of the attack, Constables Ashok, Kishore Sawaliya, and Vijay Yadav sustained injuries to their faces and hands. Fellow officers intervened to assist the injured personnel, who were subsequently transported to a private hospital for medical treatment. Kanadia police have since filed an FIR against the four individuals for multiple offenses.
