The owner, Aishwarya Khanna Singh, stated that the incident began when staff politely requested the family to prevent their child from throwing tissues around the dining area.
According to Singh, the family reacted aggressively instead of cooperating, leading to property damage and disrespect towards staff. She further alleged that the family attempted to avoid accountability by identifying themselves as "influencers."
Singh emphasized that influence does not exempt individuals from basic manners and that a restaurant is a shared space, not a playground. She stressed that respect is non-negotiable and that damage, disorder, and intimidation will not be tolerated.
This incident occurred shortly after videos of other Indian tourists engaging in disruptive behavior in Vietnam went viral, including dancing on an airport tarmac and at Hanoi Train Street.
